A lot of things have been happening and there is even more coming up!
Here's a little point form update:
Alvvays have been touring with the projections I made for their live show last December. They took the projections with them through Europe and have been screening them while they perform at various shows including one at the Bowery Ballroom back in April, as well as a Juno Awards party and the Indies awards show as part of Canadian Music Week.
I've been curating a series of video's for Xpace's External Space. So far I've curated Tobias William's The Emotional Problems of living, exhibition essay can be found here.
The most recent work in the series if Colin Rosati's Data Library. The work just opened and can be viewed here. It will be up until June 22nd installed in the Learning Zone on the OCAD U campus and hosted on xpace's homepage at xpace.info. The exhibition essay I wrote for that work can be found here.
I'm in the process of wrapping up post production for a new music video I shot and directed for the Guelph band The Folk. The video will be released sometime in June before their show at NXNE - June 20th at the Silver Dollar.
Last week I shot a music video for the track Britl Binary by Pale Eyes. This was a greatly collaborative endeavour with helps from old pals and new pals and i'm really looking forward to start post production. It should be released early summer of this year.
I will be selling my first edition ever of prints. CMYK silkscreens printed by Tobias Williams and taken from a still of my Workout '13 video piece. They will be on sale at the Xpace Fundraiser opening June 5th and hosted by Tough Guy Mountain.
